Overview
Axel was founded by Sophia Latessa and two other young co-founders. They raised $5 million in a Seed Round backed by Kleiner Perkins, Polychain Capital, Abstract Ventures, Circle (USDC), Stanford University, and Balaji Srinivasan, among others.
Sophia's role included product design and management, implementing solutions to solve the problems that Axel's customers faced.
Contributions
Sophia reached out to me after seeing my Figma Community page. At first she wanted to hire me to own product design at Axel and revamp their design system. But after meeting me, she loved the idea of me coaching her.
So for a few months, we met once to twice a week in live coaching sessions, so that she could build on her skills and continue to own product at Axel.
